June 19

We took Kali to PetSmart today. It was pretty non-eventful. She just sniffed around the whole time. The only thing that really happened was when a huge dog got away from his owner and tried to get on Kali. She did not like that at all.

June 18

I made sweet pork salad tonight. It was supposed to be a copy cat of a Cafe Rio recipe, but it wasn't exactly the same. It certainly didn't satisfy my craving. It was still good though.

So I walk into the bathroom today and see this. Chris, is this really the best place for your glasses? He has a horrible habit of just laying his stuff done wherever it is most convenient for him at the time, which means he can't find it later when he has forgotten where he laid it. But this is just weird.

June 15

This picture is totally posed. Can you tell Chris is wondering what the heck I am doing?

I got Chris to go running with me today. I gave him a shot of chocolate milk because Charleah said it is actually good to drink after a work out. I figured it would give Chris some more incentive to go running. Turns out he didn't care.

In mine and Chris's journey to have a baby, we have heard lots of advice on how to get pregnant. I have heard that pineapples are good to eat for me and Mom came home the other day and told Chris to eat celery (like that will ever happen.) And then we went to the grocery store and saw these write next to each other. It's kind of like a sign!

Flashback!

This is one of the best pictures ever. Sammie looks like a hoodlum with those shorts over her jeans. And her hair looks like it is in a ball on top of her head. This makes me laugh whenever I see it.

I miss living so close to Charleah and Sammie.

Don't you just love my new vest? Just kidding! Chris and I went to some antique/gift shops in Montgomery today and I found this. It is a craft project gone really really wrong.

June 10

Flashback day.

Christmas 2007 at Chris's family's Christmas party. Chris's Dad or uncles usually dressed up as Santa, but none of them could fit in the suit anymore. So Chris was nominated as the one to do it.

June 9

The calm before the storm. We had been waiting all day for the storm to hit and here it is blowing in. I LOVE cloudy dreary days. And I think the sky is gorgeous when it is grey and dark. The storm only lasted about 20 minutes before it rolled on out.

Adison's plaque is up! Elder McClellan is currently serving in the Argentina Cordoba Mission. He is 1/6th done.

The scripture he picked was Helaman 5:12 which is one of my favorites. It is a fantastic reason why Christ should be our rock.

And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Also, today is my half birthday.

June 5

These are my newest craft projects. Mom and I went to a baby shower today and I gave one of my bibs and everyone loved it. Which made me feel really special. And the best part is they are so much fun to make!

June 4

This is my favorite meal right now. French Toast with powdered sugar AND syrup and butter. Which is the healthiest meal ever. Not really, but I could eat this every day for breakfast. Luckily for my hips, I do not.

June 3

These are the flowers that Chris sent to the shop for my anniversary. They were very hard to get home when I was driving all by myself.

June 2

Happy 3 years to our marriage! In 2007 Chris and I were married after being best friends for 7 years. And now we are happier than ever. There are times when it seems like it went by so fast but I also can't remember what it was like not to be married to Chris.

I love him so much and I cannot imagine what my life would be without him. I know that he makes me better and I know that I make him better.

These are some of the best memories I have of the last 3 years.

1. When we lived in our first apartment, Chris decided to try to scare me. We just got home and I went into the bathroom. When I got out, Chris wasn't anywhere. I hadn't heard the door open so I knew he was in the apartment somewhere hiding. I decided to show him so I sat on the couch and started reading. Five minutes later, I wondered why he hadn't given up. I went in our room and looked in our closets. He wasn't there. Our apartment is so small, I gave up. I figured he must have gone outside. I went around to my side of the bed and there he was: crumbled under the bed with the boxes waiting to jump out and scare me. But because it was such a small space, he didn't have enough room to get out fast enough. It is probably the funniest thing ever. He has such dedication sometimes.

2.We were at Target. Whenever Chris and I go into the store to get one things real quick, it never it ends up being that easy. We don't get a basket because we only need one thing. But we end up with our hands full with everything we get. Well, I decided I wanted some peanut M&Ms. I couldn't find them anywhere in the candy isle. Chris was at the other end of the isle and found them for me. We were about 15 feet from each other and both of us have no free hands. Don't worry though, Chris has got this. He picks up a bag and THROWS it to me. I can't catch so all I do is put out my foot to try to stop it. Which I do and the bag busts all over the place. We couldn't stop laughing even after we left. (Don't worry, we paid for that bag and safely got another one.)

3. Our honeymoon in Orlando at DisneyWorld and Universal Studios. Ever June 3-8, I still think "this day 3 years ago we were at Animal Kingdom..."
4. Our trip to San Francisco where we realized we weren't city people.
5. The nights we have spent watching episode after episode of a new TV show.
6. Our first trip to Bridal Veil Falls to which I dragged Chris and he ended up loving it probably more than me. (Chris "I didn't really want to go but I did and I like it."
7. "I broke this."
8. Getting to working together for the first 2 1/2 years of our marriage.

I know that we have so many more memories to make and our lives will change so much, but as long as I have Chris than everything will be amazing.

**This picture is blurry because it is extremely hard to take a picture of yourself with a phone.**

I just finished running 50 miles in 30 days. It was so hard and there were so many times when I wished that I hadn't made this little deal with myself. But it was good for me. I am proud to say that while I wished I hadn't made this goal, I never thought about giving up. There was no way that I was going to not do it. And it was good because I usually procrastinate my stuff, but I knew that I couldn't for this.

Maybe I'll try running 60 miles in one month, but I am going to shift my focus a bit now. I still HATE running, but at least I can force myself to do it.

May 31

For Memorial Day we went over to the Kunz's and played (fast) Nertz, which is one of the best card games ever. I used to be really good at it. But I was not doing good at all. I was in last place after the second round and stayed there until the end of the game. But it was still lots of fun. And I had won slow Nertz the week before, so I had to give someone else a turn.

May 30

Happy 24th Birthday dinner Chris! We had Chris's birthday dinner today. I made him Chicken and Dumplings (his favorite meal) and cheesecake (his favorite cake.) It was a good dinner, at least I thought it was.

I love doing birthday dinners. That is what I look forward to most on my birthday. Someone else cooking dinner for me. Don't forget it Chris!

May 29

I helped Dad put up siding today. This drawing is 100% accurate for where I was while doing this. Just joking. I think I was actually standing on higher on the ladder.

I have realized that I am not afraid of heights. But I am afraid of falling. Especially because I am so clumsy and don't usually pay that close attention to what I am doing with my body. I run into the sides of doorways and dressers because I don't take the time to pay attention to where they are. So, being up so high made me extremely anxious because I had to pay attention so closely.

Plus, Dad and I had to toss the nail gun back and forth.

Just joking Mom. That didn't really happen.
